Yas Fiber has expanded its high-speed internet service to Dodoma, targeting demand from households, businesses and institutions as Tanzania's capital continues to attract residential and commercial growth.

The fibre service is initially available in Ilazo, Ipagala, Swaswa and Mjini Kati, according to Daily News. The company said the rollout will support users who rely on online learning, remote work, digital commerce, cloud services and other internet-based activities.

Dodoma District Commissioner Jabir Shekimweri said at the launch that digital infrastructure is increasingly important as the city expands. Yas Fiber Chief Executive Officer Maxime Woimant said the company is not simply bringing faster internet to Dodoma, but infrastructure that can help people work, learn, do business and access opportunities in an increasingly digital economy.

As part of the launch, Yas Fiber is bundling mobile services with its home internet packages at no additional cost. Customers will receive between 5GB and 30GB of mobile data and 50 to 350 all-network voice minutes, depending on their fibre package, while paying the standard monthly subscription.

Woimant said the package is intended to keep customers connected beyond their homes and that Yas Fiber plans to extend its network to additional areas of Dodoma as demand grows. He linked the rollout to the company's broader strategy to support Tanzania's digital transformation through connectivity investment.

For businesses, the Dodoma expansion matters because fixed broadband can support more reliable digital operations than mobile-only connectivity.
